Debating between POP and Hotel Royal Plaza

I need a little decision making help please. I am currently debating between POP and HRP. I have ressies on hold for a passholder rate at POP $69 night for a total of $385 for 5 nights. Mousesavers has a deal with HRP for stay 5 nights get 5th night free tower room. This would be about $322. I have stayed at POP before, and enjoyed it. But I like the idea of being so close to DTD at HRP.. help anyone??? This will be for July 8th thru 13th BTW

I'd go with the POP - 2 reasons
1. Transportation
2. Disney atmosphere.

Believe me those are at the top of my list. But I still am not sure, as I tend to spend most mornings at TL and HRP is much closer, also I like to spend many an evening at DTD! LOL I also understand these tower rooms at HRP are much larger than POP as well as much nicer. HMMMM decisions decisions, anyone else that may have stayed at both?

I've never stayed at POP but have stayed at HRP. If you enjoy soaking in a tub and a little extra space then go for HRP. I'd choose POP because of the transportation, theme and atmosphere if I had to choose.

Does early entry at the parks make a difference or are they included at both?

EMH and Enight are available at both.......... No problem at all, the more info I can get the better!

I have stayed both on and off site once...this trip coming up is my third and take it from me there is no comparision for staying on site. The atmosphere to being on site can not be compared to anything a offsite hotel can offer. Oh course this is just my opinion.
But of course keep in mind I have no idea about HRP but I loved staying onsite.

I don't think that extra magic hour is available at the HRP. I thought the Hilton was the only DTD hotel that had access to EMH.

I think you are right about EMH. However, I always say I am going to use it and never do! LOL I think at tis point though, I am leaning towards POP. It is only going to be about $40 more, and I am just to afraid that I will be kicking myself if I go to HRP. But I will definitely check it out while I am down there for futrue visits. I have only stayed either on site or off site site, but never on site at a DTD hotel, so I guess I am a little afraid of change LOL

dzneprincess - with the amount of trips and the frequency of your trips to WDW you should consider looking into the DVC. I think you may find you will save some money (long term) and have Disney's highest quality resorts available while doing so!!! You can buy direct from Disney (150 pt min.) or on the resale market (25 pt min). The DVC is not for everyone but you sound like a good candidate. Check into it as it isn't as expensive as everyone thinks. If you have questions, feel free to PM me.

Thanks Boston. I actually did attend a seminar on DCL this past October. There were selling Sarasota. I was very tempted, however my job situation is not very stable right now. It is easier to go every couple of months, as long as I have a job, than to commit to another bill for x amount of years. KWIM. Also, once my PAP expires, I think I am a bit Disney'ed out, and I would like to have used points cruise, but it is not a very good deal.
