Since there will be 3 of us, I figured the cost of a taxi vs one of the Shuttles isn't more more. Have I figured that right? Do I ask the cabbie upfront how much to the Grand Californian? We don't like the idea of the extra time that might be involved with using the Shuttle system (even though I've heard that the Grand is generally the first stop).

We always use the shuttle because it is cheaper. There are three of us as well, and we can usually get a shuttle for a total of 30.00. Taxi last time we took it was more than 45 but that was a few years ago.

Look into Karmel Shuttle. Good, and they don't troll the airport like SuperShuttle tends to do.

We made reservations with supper shuttle and they actually put us in a taxi, which was really nice! It would've been a lot more to pay for the taxi but they subbed it out so we paid $24 for the 3 of us through supershuttle and it would have been almost $40 if we paid for the taxi. It was late, after 10 when our plane arrived! On the way back, super shuttle pick us up in a van with a few others in a junkie van and it was not as pleasant??

The last time I took super shuttle it took us 80 minutes to get from SNA to Motel6 Main Gate. When we took Super Shuttle back to SNA he screamed at a passenger he had mistakenly dismissed to picking up when he drove past her, then used two cell phones and a GPS unit while speeding on the freeway. I'd rather spend the little bit extra and just grab a cab.

I think we experienced this drive too! I was so nervous I couldn't watch the road. I had to stare at the floor to keep from loosing IT! I felt like kissing the ground when I finally got out of the car. Needless to say NO tip!

We did have a fantastic driver after that mad man. A safe driver, good lane changes, never exceeded the speed limit, plenty of space between him and the car ahead of him, you hear what I'm saying. His name is Nick. I took his card for our future trips. He said I could call him and have him be our driver when we need one.

I do like a cab for our transportation when in Anaheim. Yellow cab "Flat Rate" works for us, $40 to or from SNA and $20 for DL to Medieval Times.

I wish I could find one of those scream'n rental car deals others have posted on this site.
