Im taking two cruises back to back in January and for the first I'm gold but the second is my 11th so my first as platinum.
Obviously all my current documents show the second as still gold because I haven't actually taken the first yet, but will this be updated for my second cruise?
For example will I get the free palo dining?
I don't think that there are any other differences now anyway but I'm just curious to know what happens on a b2b with a change of status?

The cruises count is updated automatically. You will be able to get your free Palo Dining and will be given the Platinum lanyards when you re-board. :)

Perfect. Thank you. The thing I'm also looking forward to is the first boarding, but of course that won't apply to a b2b!
Good to know though.

We did a Med./WBTA B2B last year...gold for both. We got off the Magic in Barcelona (the port between cruises) to do some more sightseeing. When we came back around noon we checked in and were given the boarding number of the current boarding group...walked straight through to our stateroom. You folks will get through perhaps faster, if possible, so no troubles getting back on the ship in time for lunch. You will get a letter in your stateroom the night before telling you your options for the next day. Assume you are keeping the same stateroom, so all your stuff stays as is...bonus!!

When we did this, I had to go to Guest Services, as they did not automatically update our Castaway Club status. This was at Port Canaveral, back to back on the Dream, December, 2013.

I was back to back as I changed from silver to gold and it changed automatically & got the gold benefits on the second half

Thank you for asking this question. I am in the same situation for April, 3 day as gold, Panama as Platinum. Poor DH is behind me by 2 cruises

Same for us. They automatically gave us gold lanyards when we checked in and we had the gold level gift in our stateroom. Nothing had to be said.
