I know that this is not Disney related and I hope this is an okay to post this. Several hours ago at Six Flags in Arlington, TX a woman was on the Texas Giant and apparently her restraint was not fastened properly or came undone and she fell off the roller coaster during a turn and unfortunately was killed. Her son was in the seat in front of her....very very sad. My family lives two hours east of Arlington and we have season passes here and have visited several times this summer. We do not ride big rides only the small and medium size rides with our two kids. They do check for safety before the rides start but I gotta tell you we are still a little weary of the rides at Six Flags, and a lot of these rides look very worn and unkept. I am very sad to hear of this tonight and pray for the woman's family as they have to deal with this tragic loss. I cannot imagine what they must be going through right now.

Needless to say I am not sure if we will be returning to Six Flags anytime soon with our kids.

This is a terrible tragedy, but I'm afraid it's off-topic for the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board. So I've moved it to the Theme Parks Community board.

That stuff is just not supposed to happen.
Tragic..that poor family.
I was tellimg dd tonite that six flags was so exspensive. Dont think i will be breaking the bank to go there anytime soon.

Terrible, Praying for her family and the other poor people who witnessed it. Six flags seems to have some good rides but as a group (not just this six flags) they seem to have a high incident rate.

I live about 30 minutes east of Dallas, so about an hour from Arlington. My 16y/o grand daughter lives another hour or so east of me in Tyler/Whitehouse area. She, several of her friends, and their moms have seasons passes for Six Flags. My grand daughter was just on that coaster last weekend.:faint::scared1:

So glad your family is safe. So scary!

Thank you....I was not quite sure where would be the appropriate place to post this.
