Today in homeroom I was finishing up and I'm kinda liking it. Is there something wrong with that one guy, Lennie I think it is? I'm terribly confused. I'm also confused as to why George (I think hes called that) is so mean to Lennie.

lennie is mentally retarded. george loves lennie, and feels deeply responsible for him, especially when lennie accidentally kills things (lennie doesn't mean to, he just likes to pet them, but he doesn't understand his own strength.)

i would read the chapter by chapter summaries on sparks notes after you read each chapter in class, and it should help if any of the details confuse you. don't use cliffnotes/sparksnotes in place of the real reading material, just supplement with it. does that make sense?

this is one of my favorite books.
