Dear Kotex

There's another thing why is it called Aunt Flo?
if i was named Flo I certainly wouldn't want it be assocated with a period!

And "My friend" :rotfl2:
I'd rather be alone with enemies then to have that friend hanging around me!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

One time I went to CVS Drugstore and the cashier, who was the manager, was ringing up my purchase. I had coupons that printed up and he was loudly reading the coupons to me. One of them was for tampons. When he got to that coupon I asked him if he could maybe read it over the loudspeaker because I didn't think that everyone in the store had heard him. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Good thing that I didn't embarrass easily and thought the whole thing was funny! When I was younger I would have died of embarrassment.

OMG, I am laughing so hard I just snorted!!!! I can't decide which post to quote because they are all so funny!!

Oh, mari, sorry to jump on your choice - I know it must work for you, and I'm sorry I was snarky about them. But it was just so unnerving to read that when I was pregnant - and honestly, there's just no way I could ever...and the Keeper...I'm feeling faint just looking at it.

    • This thread is so funny.:rotfl2: My Dh is the best. Once time he offered to go to the store for me said he had to pick something up anyway. He came back with Maxi thins and a very large bottle of Ketchup. I looked at him and ask him if that is all he got. He said yes and thought nothing of it. I had to go outside and laughed till tears came down my face. I have never said a word about it.:rotfl2:
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
This is the perfect funny husband story....

There ya go ..... finally a 'clique' where I'll fit in!?!?!! party:

Hey OP--I thank you and Aunt Flo thanks you. So tired of paying the bills. Can't I just have a change of life and be done with the whole thing?
And my poor DD12--she's so confused. Her pediatrician and the school nurse have all been telling her "it's such a natural, wonderful and beautfiul thing that happens to women." I said, "Bullcrap. It sucks. Will suck for a good 30+ years of your life."
Thanks for a great laugh, OP! :sunny:

Oh my God, when I first saw this I thought, "Wow!!! Someone needs some MAJOR antibiotics!" Then I realized it wasn't an actual description...

I always refer to the kind of very earnest, back to nature woman as a "pad hanger", because I read a description of this in the back of a parenting magazine when I was pregnant. The idea of washing reusable pads grosses me out in a MAJOR way, but this woman loved it. Of course, she also did something with her placenta, but that's another thread....

This post sealed it. No man will now dare to post on this thread. :lmao: :lmao:

Hey...snarky's ok with me...just remember that paybacks are a ***** :rotfl2:

(and trust me when I say I'd never go back...I look at it this way...I bought my whole "supply" about 6.5 years ago and haven't spent another dime dealing with "that time" since then...so I've saved maybe $600...another couple years and I'll have a whole trip to the World paid for in menstrual savings!! :dance3: )

Oh...just editing to add...in case it comes up...I hang my pads, but didn't do a darn thing with my placenta (in case anyone was wondering!).

PLEASE go post this on the Budget Board!!!!!!!!!

I am gasping - I am laughing so hard!!!!!!

OK, here's MY attempt at savings. I'm really so proud of this.

DD17 left for college last month, and I got into her room and cleaned in a big way. And I found tons of tampons - Regular, Super, cardboard applicator, plastic applicator, mini pads, etc. All sorts of goodies that I usually never use, but was too cheap to throw away. So all week I've been using up her "stash" and today I finaally finished with the nasty cardboard applicator kind and I am back to my beloved Playtex SuperPlus. I feel as though I have accomplished something major, and yet I've had no one to tell...until now. I thought about resurrecting my "What Do You Use Up" thread, but it just didn't seem right. Now I'm able to share it with a few thousand of my closest friends!!!! :rotfl:

This isn't the first time I've driven men off, believe me!!!!!

This is just the best thread ever. You know, I spend a lot of time making needlepoint Christmas ornaments, but the angel is such an attractive option for the holiday season. I think I'll make them for all my friends. Oh, and those poems are exquisite!!!!!
