Deals on Universal Resort Hotels

Anyone know of a way to get a deal on a Universal Resort Hotel?

Last trip I booked through Orbitz and got 15% off. That deal was drying up at the time and I snuck in to get it on the app. The discount codes don't seem to work on Universal hotels on any online travel sites/apps.
I do have an Annual Pass but that hasn't helped my dates (traditionally).
The best idea I have right now is to buy discounted Hotels.com gift cards (10% off on ebay) and go through there. I could also get 6% cash back at ebates that way. But I hate the added step and having funds in flux.

sounds like you have gone way more than I have.... But I occasional get discounts through universal directly through emails they send if you sign up for them.... other than that it seems they are not discounted anymore--or should I say additional discounts other than the price you can get everywhere.

I have gone the hotels.com route. That seems to be the only way to get a discount other than a possible deal directly from Universal.

I get them off Ebay, sometimes Amazon has deals on them, Samsung Pay, and American Express will have occasional deals as well.

Do they still offer a AAA rate? It's been a few years since we used that.
