Does anyone know if there are any deals on the Directv NFL Sunday Ticket? I heard you might be able to haggle with DTV to get a lower (more reasonable) price for the package. Has anyone had any luck with this?

My husband got a deal on some of it last year when he was going to cancel - but not the whole Ticket but the extra part of it - the RedZone add-on (I think that's what it's called). For a year they lowered our price. There's usually a small discount if you sign up early - a few months ahead of when they offer it to everyone - it's like $20 off. I'm not even sure if they still do that or not because it just gets automatically put on our bill when it's time to start paying for the year.

Not really. Sometimes they will give you the extra channel for free. My husband tried to haggle with them last year and they told him he was already getting the best price they could give him. (we have had it for a few years now and are on automatic renewal, when it goes up every year, our's goes up less then what a new customer is paying).

They changed things this year, red zone or whatever the superfan $99 channel is part of it now. We still pay extra $10 a month to have it on the internet.

No luck here either...
We can't even get them to let us pay it all at once! :mad:
They should give a small discount if you pay it all but they don't.
I hate that my bill goes us $50 for 6 months!
My kids split the cost between them because they're the one's who watch it!

I told my DH if he wanted Sunday Ticket he would have to call DTV and have them cancel our Showtime and HBO subscriptions. When he called to do this they offered us $25/mo off our bill to keep the subscriptions and get Sunday Ticket and also gave us free HD for 6 months.

I was able to get $5 off a month for the Sunday ticket ($30 off) and 3 months of free Showtime for being a "loyal customer."

I received a call from Directv about a month ago and was offered all the movie channels, HBO, Cinemax, Showtime and all the others as well as NFL Sunday ticket for $6 a month. It's good through the end of the year. I took them up on it. Just have to remember to cancel sometime in December so I won't start getting billed full freight.

At first I asked what their best deal was. They said the best deal was to allow me to pay it in 6 months. When I said nevermind, they offered to lower my monthly bill for a year. That was good enough for me.

I called about 6 weeks ago...we got $20 off NFL Sunday Ticket each month, free showtime for 6 months, and free HD for a year. That was great for me! I think it depends on who you get on the phone. She basically told me I got the right customer service rep. today. Yay me!!:banana: So if you don't get what you want the first time, try again later.

Everyone should be getting free hd this year with the NFL sunday ticket. The rep I got told me it's part of the Sunday ticket package this year. If it isn't mentioned, make sure you ask about that.

First price they offered me was $314, called to cancel and they gave it to me for $180 and free HD for 2 years.

HD is free for 2 years if you sign up for automatic bill pay...so even if you don't want NFL ticket you can still call and ask for free HD

:cool1::banana: WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2::woohoo:

Thanks for this thread!!! We have had NFL Sunday Ticket for as long as I can remember & I just called to get a deal. :thumbsup2 We were already paying $49.99 per month for 6 mos ($300.) She offered it to me for $29.99 for 6 mos + 2 mos of free Showtime. :dance3: Thanks OP & all others!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Edited to say, just noticed how much Showtime stinks & I may have it removed just b/c of the trash on there! :rotfl:
