Deals for October?

Hello Disney Enthusiasts,
I have been unemployed since December but I have recently started a new job. Praise God. We are wanting to take a vacation with the kids in October and was curious to know if there are any deals out there for discounted travel to Disney staying at the resort. I know we miss the free meal program by a month but wondering if they are running anything like this in October. Any help would be much appreciated.

We had free dining in 2009 in October. the promotion was announced in late July. Anyones quess if it will happen this year.

Yep I had free dining in Nov 2009. I have everything booked now and when they announce free dining I will just have it applied to my account. We are staying at POP so we aren't really looking for a rack discount.

We too had free dining early Oct 2009 *and I booked that trip with the FD in March of 2009* we're hoping for the same *QS would be fine* for Oct 2012

Look under the "Disney Resorts board; there is a sub-board called "Discount Codes and Rates." People post when they get deals; there are also specific threads for months. I am watching the October thread closely.

If something like Free Dining is announced, people on the DIS will probably know about it before the Disney executive in charge finishes the sentence!
