A good deal but not that unusual nowadays. Today, NewEgg had an 8 gig class 6 SD card for $35 shipped, and a few days ago, they had another 8 gig class 6 for $33 shipped. That's cheaper per gig than the Woot one, which is also slower (class 4). The only problem is if your camera won't take SDHC cards!

Good point on $/GB. Even if my PS could take a larger card, I'm not sure I'd want anything more than 2GB. I'd rather have 2 2GB than 1 4GB. Now if I was eating it up with video, that's a different story. BTW, love the av Groucho.

PhotoVision is running a special on their subscriptions. You can get the entire 2010 set of DVD's (12 hours of material) for $39. I've only looked at one disc so far and it is pretty good. I prefer the Kelby Training Videos, but this price makes the PhotoVision stuff a great value. I got the promo code from David Ziser's blog. It's ZISER. It claims to only be for 2010, but they through in the 6 2009 discs for an additional $39 as well.

Jeff ... there are some really nice upgrades to LR3 over LR2. If you use a watermark for pictures posted online they added an easy way to accomplish that. Another greatly improved feature of LR3 is the ability to handle noise reduction. I thought the NR feature of LR2 was very inadequate but the LR3 NR does a nice job. They also have a publish feature which allows publishing your photos to sites like Smugmug, Flickr, Facebook etc without using a Plugin or exporting first. It takes care of RAW conversion and upload to the site all in one operation.

I tried the beta 2 version, and while it was nice, it wasn't for me. I can accomplish the same basic editing in ACR, and the more advanced editing I do it can't perform. So I'd still be using it and PS for most edits, versus ACR & PS for most edits presently (what I'm saying is that it doesn't save me time or steps in my workflow as someone who uses ACR and PS).

Obviously YMMV, but I'm betting you open PS for a lot of your edits...that will still likely be true.
