Deal with Dreamworks?

I'm in the investment field and see that Dreamworks and Universal are splitting. Dreamworks appears to be hoping for a deal with Disney for their movie distribution needs.

The stories I read say this is not a merger of the two companies, just a movie distribution deal. And, it appears from this morning's news reports that it isn't happening anyway.
