Deal Barbie Pays Question

For a while now, I have been a member of the Deal Barbie Pays reward site. (Not sure they call themselves a "reward" site, but you get what I mean.)

Due to time constraints and other factors, I haven't been to the site in a long time.

Last week, I went to the site to log in and cash what money I had in my account there since we are headed to Disney in a few weeks. (That's what I use these rewards sites for--Disney spending cash!) :thumbsup2

When I tried to log in, the system did not recognize me. I entered everything I could think of (i.e., different e-mail addresses, passwords, etc.). After no luck, I e-mailed DBP. (In fact, as of tonight, I have e-mailed them on THREE separate occasions.)

They have not replied to any of my e-mails, and frankly, at this point, I am getting frustrated, a little bit angry, and disappointed with them.

I took a lot of time doing the offers on that site, and in turn, they earned money off my efforts. I expected to be paid the $100 I earned over there.

Can anyone tell me what is going on with DBP? Why they might not be answering my e-mails or if they changed hands and deleted all old accounts?

Is there a time limit on accounts that I'm not aware of?

Thank you to any of you that can help answer these questions.

Hey girls,

Just a follow up to my original post. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my posting, here on the disboards, about DBP or not, but after a third "not quite-as-nice" e-mail as the first two I sent, I (finally) received a reply from DBP.

Their e-mail said their Terms of Agreement state, "all accounts are deleted after 30 days of non use." This is "so we don't overload our database."

Enough said. I signed up, I agreed to the Terms. End of story, right? Well, kind of....

I would like to say a few things in response to this and to "warn" (if that's the right word to use [and it's entirely possible DBP will respond to this post since users and sometimes even the owner of that site have perused these boards]) any future and possible members of DBP...

I have been a member of SUNSHINE REWARDS and QUICK REWARDS for many years now.

Both of their owners have been EXTREMELY helpful and kind over the years.

There are rules and regulations to follow at all these reward sites, but both Tricia and Dmitry have been kind and helpful at steering me the right way over those years.

Even their communities, especially Sunshine Reward's, have been helpful in helping newbies learn the things you can and cannot do on these sites.

As a busy Mom and part-time worker, it is sometimes (more often than not) hard to find the time to squeeze in the reward sites.

While it is true that you can do a few offers quickly here and there and even the daily stuff pretty fast, the surveys take a long time, and time is not always an option for busy, working Moms.

I believe, and this is *ONLY MY OPINION*, that if you do not have a *CONSISTENT* availability of time to dedicate to DBP, that you do not sign up and join that particular website.

I did find that they paid out a little bit bigger reward on some offers versus other sites and I did find that my stuff seemed to credit better there than other sites, but the fact that you can lose your stash of cash for not visiting your account for 30 days seems a bit harsh TO ME. I understand why they do it, but I still do not agree with their way of thinking and TOA.

I had over $100 in my account. Money that cost me and my family time and effort, and now, I've lost it. DBP made money on the offers I completed, but because of their time-constricted stipulation in the terms of agreement (yes, that I agreed to), I lost it all.

So, my bottom line is this--if you are a busy Mom trying to help your family earn extra money here and there, I would NOT suggest Deal Barbie Pays. I would stick with Quick Rewards and Sunshine Rewards.

Simply because they did not delete my account and penalize me when I could not get back to them because life got busy.

On the other hand, if you think you CAN keep your account from being inactive for 30 days, check out DBP's site. I made money faster there and they seemed to have a little bit bigger payouts. Not by much, but a little bit more.

Just be "warned," that they have this stipulation in their TOA, and they will penalize you, if your life gets busy like mine did and you can't make it back to their site.

Your money, your hard work, your time, and your efforts will be *NOT* safeguarded there.

It is hard in this day and time to keep everything juggled all time. Busy Moms have enough on their plate to try and remember and keep straight. (If you don't believe me, check out one of the many thousand "Mommy Blogs" on the net these days.)

I failed to remember something, and it cost me and my family in the end.

Thanks for listening and good luck with your reward site work!
