DCL cancelled our September cruise, and I'm still pondering whether to take the refund or apply the 125% FCC to something else. Does anyone know if there's a limit to how long can I wait to make this decision?

Just chatting with DCL:

For reservations that were not paid in full, the sailing has been cancelled and an automatic refund will be issued to the original form of payment for any money that has been applied.
-----------------------------------------------

For reservations that were paid in full, we would like to offer you the choice of a 125% Future Cruise Credit to be used for a future sailing by September 30, 2022.

The CM added:

You may apply your Future Cruise Credit to a new reservation when booking online. On the 'Amount to Pay Today' window, you will be prompted to pay the full amount, hold the reservation, or apply a Future Cruise Credit. Select to apply a Future Cruise Credit.

The balance of available Future Cruise Credit will appear next to the Guest’s name. Choose how much of the credit you wish to use today and confirm the booking.

If the Future Cruise Credit option does not appear, please contact us at 800-939-2784 or 407-566-7000.

Which cruise/ship got cancelled for you? We are on the Sept 4th sailing on the Fantasy which still shows "green".

I can’t answer your exact question but it’s pretty frustrating that DCL cancelled in dribs and drabs. Our Alaska cruise was finally cancelled last week, and when we called to rebook for summer 2022, there were hardly any rooms left. We are stuck with ones now right across from the elevators and had to go from the bigger to the smaller room (for almost the same price). Yet people who were set to sail a mere two weeks before us had had their cruise cancelled months ago, and they had better room selections. For various and irrelevant reasons, we wanted to still go with 2022 or would have otherwise waited (even if it meant foregoing the 25%). So to tie in my point to your dilemma, another thing you may want to consider is if there’s even something that works for you in 2022 before you make your decision.

Just fyi I did end up applying our FCC to a Merrytime cruise for this December. Like @Chrislovesdisney mentioned, pickings were slim (most categories were in guarantee status), but I managed to nab one of the last good staterooms. Looking forward to cruising again!

Just keep an eye on it- I’ll wager there will
Still be significant movement between now and PIF for 2022s cruises. life happens!
There is so much pent up demand it’s crazy.
We have 3 2022 cruises booked and we won’t even know what vacation time will be approved yet for 2022 till November!
