Deactivated wait lists... Came through???

Ok so I had 2 wait lists for an upcoming trip that I deactivated bc I was lucky enough to find them in my own!!! As soon as I did find and book, I deactivated BOTH wait lists. Now, a month later, I got an email saying welcome home(this was Monday) and sure enough, it was one of the deactivated wait list!! Then this morning I checked my email and the other night I wait listed came through!!! I am 100% positive both were deactivated !!! Especially after the night came through on Monday and I checked my waitlist to be sure I didn't make a mistake!!! And I have no wait lists!!! How the heck is this happening!

There have been computer problems lately. My GUESS is that something got resotred back to a time when those waitlists were still active.

Call MS to fix. If no points were borrowed and you are more than 31 days away from the waitlisted nights, it should be any trouble at all to put things right. If there are, it might take longer, but MS should still be able to make it right for you. Good luck!

Oh absolutely, I just cancelled the reservation and had no need to call MS! It was very easy and no harm done! I just thought it was so strange!

I would contact DVC anyway. This time no harm but what if they canceled your reservation in error and you didn't find out until you tried to check in at the resort?

Yes, strange things are happening. I booked my May 2016 trip several weeks ago and this morning I got the confirmation. I think I'll take a peak at my account to make sure everything is OK.

Are you sure that the confirmation emails were for a new match? I've been getting emails the last two days for nights I reserved 4 weeks ago. They're just spitting them out all of a sudden.

I also was thinking that. Yesterday I had a welcome home confirmation but it was a waitlist match from 2 or 3 weeks ago.

I just had this happen for Dec. I had 1 night left as a wait list and found it online then canceled the wait list Wed I think it was. Today I got an email that it had matched yesterday. I now have both reservations. I've emailed DVC, we'll see how this works as it was borrowed points so they borrowed extra.
