DH uses tracfone and he has changed phones and rolled over his number. We can't remember if he rolled the minutes over, but he thinks he did. It's been a while. Hope that helps!

I had a TMobile Prepaid phone. While I was able to switch phones and keep the same number and my minutes, it was because I moved my SIM card over. Without the sim-card no such luck.

Your best bet is to call TracPhone directly. They can help you more than we can!

I just bought my dh a new Tracfone and rolled those service days and minutes over with no problem.

Dd had her Tracfone lost in the pocket of a Northface jacket that was stolen at school. You can't switch the minutes and plan to a new phone without having the old phone with you.

You will have to call their customer disservice line. That is when we decided to go with a different company. Fortunately it was a very cheap phone without a ton of minutes on it.

Not true. Google the "american" number in miami. My daughter lost her phone. She didn't know what phone she wanted. Was able to transfer the minutes to an old tracfone we had and the on to the new one when she finally decided!

The first question has the phone number to Customer Service. I believe the 3rd question/answer will have what you need.

DD16 has TracFone also. We have had similar events. I just hug her and say bad things happen. It may take a while to get the new item, but now we know how to handle it.

DS was able to keep phone number and transfer unused minutes after he lost his phone. We bought a new phone at Walmart and called Tracfone customer service to report the loss and activate the new phone. It was a bit tedious, having to enter a bunch of codes and understand the cs rep, but worthwhile since he had over 1000 minutes on the lost phone.
