It is nice to see a normal dress for homecoming. The girls around here wear stuff more suitable for the prom. When I was in school the girls wore pantsuits or nice dresses. Hope things are changing.

ilovepcot- I was thinking the same thing. She looks so much older and the other picture was just taken at WDW last November- 10 months ago.

mum4jenn- They told them specifically not to wear prom type dresses. One of the girls wore a strapless prom type gown last year, and the teachers made it clear that they just wanted "church" type dresses.

I agree with swanmom. I see so many young girls wearing dresses that plunge more or are slit up higher than they should so it is very refreshing to see a beautiful young woman wear a dress that fits well but covers where it should.

Do many middle schools have homecoming courts/celebrations? I had never heard of that before.

We have a Jr. High Miss and a Homecoming Queen. Our Jr. High is chosen as a 9th grader although there are also 7th and 8th graders on the court.

Our Homecoming Queen is a Senior but there are also Jrs and Sophmores on the court.

My daughter's HS Homecoming is next Saturday and we went dress shopping today. I figured we'd have a hard time agreeing on a dress, but surprisingly, it went smoothly. Her dress is similar to the one your daughter is wearing. We haven't found, or I should say, agreed on, shoes yet. I really don't like the spikey high heels. I would like to find a pair with a smaller heel. Of course, my daughter loves the tall heels, (she's very short), but I told her we'll keep looking until we agree on a pair.

Did you take your daughter to get her hair done special? It's very nice.
