I took DD, 8yrs old, to the eye doctor this afternoon for an exam. She had been complaining of blurry vision occasionally.
After testing they found out she is nearsighted. The prescription is not strong at all, just enough to clear things up for her.
And I'm proud to say that she was actually excited to get to wear glasses. She had looked over all the children lenses before it was her turn to see the doctor. She picked out a really cute pair of Disney Princess glasses. They are Ariel glasses, her favorite princess, and they're a cool aqua blue color with little bubbles and glitter on the sides too. The case is the cutest little Princess purse with handles.
She was so proud of herself for picking them out. You should have seen her checking herself out in the mirror with every pair.
I'm just glad we have excellent health insurance with vision coverage!!
Those cute glasses could have cost me a small fortune!!!

although she SWEARS this didn't happen) or someone took the cute 'purse' not realizing they had glasses inside (this was in the lunchroom).
