DD's athlete's foot is getting worse. Advice?

Since its summer, see if she can wear more open shoes, sandals, keens, etc. It may help keep the sweating down if she has more air on her feet. DH says that crocs make him sweat more, I don't have that issue.. go figure.

DD gets has gotten "foot funk" a couple of times.. the peds are horrible about it, they've never given a clear answer about what it is. I agree with other posters, if it's bad see a foot doc.

I worked as a counselor at a girl scout overnight camp for 3 summers and every summer I got athlete's foot...the only time I've ever had it...
We had to wear socks with closed toed shoes all the time even just to run to the latrine in the middle of the night, so my feet never dried out.

I found that changing my socks a few times a day helped along with lotrimin cream and putting in the antifungal powder right into my socks before I put them on. I'd also switch shoes every other day so they could dry out some and i'd keep oder eaters in them to help them dry out as well. Make sure she dries between her toes everytime she showers, etc too.

Soon as summer was over it was gone, but the camp nurse did say if it didn't go away to go to the dr as there are stronger meds for it.

It does hurt, in between my toes got super red and the skin just peeled off in chunks.
