So because we are staying too long on bounceback they had me book 2 trips so on check out/in day I tentatively have HDDR booked to come off the 1st trip DDP but we will be on the 2nd package all at the same resort. So is the system smart enough to pull off the 1st package and not the second? TYIA

The system won't allow you to use ANY credits from the second package until EVERY credit from the first is gone, or until 11:59PM on checkout day from the first.

By every, I mean every: every snack too.

Don't you just need to check out of the first hotel? We are doing a split stay, and may have snack credits left over that I don't care if we lose, but once I check out can we start using the second plan?

No. You need to check out and use all the credits. Credits do not expire on checkout.

Do you have first-hand knowledge of this, @_auroraborealis_? I was under the impression that the system was smart enough to use credits from either plan, but would use credits from the first plan if it had credits that qualified. This would only cause trouble if you were changing the type of dining plan and wanted to, for example, use a QS credit from the second plan but still had Deluxe credits left. But I don't have first-hand experience.

Did a split with 2 dining plans in October, and the desk was quite explicit on the subject. The system doesn't handle plan succession with any grace or dignity.

(And given Disney IT, this surprises no one, right?)

To be safe I'll just use up our snacks the night before check out. We are having breakfast in the morning after check out and I need to use credits from the 2nd plan.
