DDP with multiple rooms

Hello!

We have 2 rooms booked for our trip next week, so I am trying to figure out the dining/tipping logistics. We have one room for myself, DH and 4 kids and another room booked for my MIL, SIL, and 3 of our kids. When we check in we were planning on each linking our MB to our respective rooms and have our own separate charges etc. But since we are a large group, our TS meals will automatically be charged 18%. How will they charge this since were are using DDP and we are in 2 separate rooms? This is stressing me out! Especially since if we are using DDP then, the charge for each meal might not show up and then trying to sort out the bills afterwards will be a nightmare!!! Please Help? Thanks

There will be separate checks for each room and each group will pay the tip on its own bill. Since you've got 3 of your kids registered in the second room, their dining credits will be on the account for that room and their meals will go on that bill.

Thank-you so much MakiraMarlena! That solves one problem! LOL! My second question is, i've seen receipts for meals when they have paid by DDP and the prices are not listed (only shows $0.00) is that the standard procedure at all restaurants? Can you request a receipt showing prices so that we can figure out who owes tip on what price afterwards?

They do give you an itemized receipt with the tip figured (automatic 18% since there are more than five of you). It may not be the final receipt but they do give you one. There will be one for each room. If anyone in your group orders anything that is not covered by the plan, there will be an additional receipt for that.
