DDP with Candelight Processional?

Haven't done it yet, but we're planning on it for our trip in late November. We're planning on dinner at L'Originale Alfredo di Roma in Italy.

We did it Dec. 26, 2006. We ate at Coral Reef and went to the late show of CP. We were on the dining plan and it was 1 credit per person.

Make sure you watch for when the CP dining packages are released. Some dates are "HOT" and it can be hard to get an ADR at your restaurant of choice on the day and time you want to dine.

I called at 7am the morning they were released and got through right away. I was thrilled and then after they answered, we were disconnected! :confused3

So, I spent another 45 minutes calling back and finally got through again and got exactly what I wanted.

We had to eat at like 5pm for the 8:15pm show though and some of the earlier shows require you to eat lunch for the CP dining package.

BTW, we really enjoyed Coral Reef and we absolutely LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the Candlelight Processional. Gary Sinise was the narrator and he was FABULOUS! :woohoo:

We LOVE this event!!!! Everytime we visit at Christmas time we never miss it. We have eated at Coral Reef & Morocco.....We also have attended without the dining portion.:santa:

We ate at Le Cellier before the show and it was fantastic. If they still offer this package this year I would highly recommend getting it. If we didnt' have reservations for the CP we probably wouldn't have gotten in. The line was crazy and we were there the 2nd week of December during historically low crowd levels.

We did this in 06 and ate at Coral Reef. It was pretty cool. I love not having to wait in line to see the CP. We also did this in 05 and ate at Le Cellier. Which was good. If we go again in 07 we will do this again and eat at Chefs de France.

Did this in Dec last year around the 10th and ate at Le Cellier and it was amazing. But we love LC anyway. We ate early and went to the late showing. I would HIGHLY recommend it!

We did it for xmas eve this year. We ate at Teppanyaki(very good meal with wonderful chef and fantastic food), so for the 6:45 show we ate at 4:00pm.It was our first DDP meal. It wasn't my first choice of times, but it was arrival day and it was really was our first meal of the day besides breakfast..it worked great. The show was amazing as usual(really put you in the holiday spirit), even though it poured about 5 minutes before it started and we were in the first UNcovered row! I did like being able to eat after the CP as previous years, but now you must eat before because you get your tickets from the cm at restaurant as you leave.

We did this or our trip in Dec. We ate at LeCellier and had the 8:15? CP show (the last one). The dinner was the best we had during our 10 days, and we stood in line (even with the CPP) for about 45 minutes before getting in to the theatre. It was worth it, though, we sat in the 3rd row! The kids wend off and used FP's for TT while we waited. Definitely worth doing!

Beirgarten...but I did not like this year's format, first 2 showings had to eat very early. 3rd showing we at 5:30...so yes you can do DDP with CP

We did DDP at Alfredo's for the Candlelight package this year. Had to eat earlier than we liked, even for the 8:15 show. Had DH on the phone the morning packages went on sale. They were having computer problems and he had to call back the next day. We've eaten at Le Cellier on the package but it was pre-dining plan. We think the packages are definitely worth the money or the dining plan credit. The lines for standby seem to get worse every year. And we have to eat anyhow.

What time did you have to eat for the 8:15 show?

What time did you have to eat for the 8:15 show?

We ate at 5pm for the 8:15pm show. We had to wait about 20 minutes for our table and then after eating and enjoying ourselves, by the time we left Coral Reef and walked over to WS, it was like 7:00/7:15pm and the line for CP dining package holders was already REALLY long. We just chatted with other folks in the line and still got GREAT seats and loved every minute of the show!

Thanks! 5:00 is around the time that I was planning on making our ADR for anyway that day. We normally eat dinner around 6-6:30, but that's when I eat 3 meals a day. At WDW, we almost always only eat 2 meals, so that will work well for us.
