We will be staying at WL in Jan for a conference. We have APs, and typically stay at DVC resorts. Can we add the DDP if we have APs when booking thru CRO, or do you have to book a package to get the ddp?
you can book what they call a "ticketless package" with your AP and get the dining plan added to that. We're doing that in September.
If you're getting a room at conference rates, you can't add dining plan to that. The conference rates are a separate kind of beast entirely...no DDP on them.
Thanks. The conference isn't held at Disney, but is in Orlando. I can't pry myself away from the Mouse, so I stay on property and drive to the Marriott and Gaylord from Disney. At least work still covers the bill.
I'll have to look into the price of the ddp and where we plan on eating dinner. I get some meals at the conference, so it may not be worth it.
If you are a DVC member booking on points through Member Services, you never have to purchase tickets to add a dining plan to your reservation, whether you are an AP holder or not.

Thanks. I knew that. Since it is for a conference, we will likely book through CRO since work is covering the hotel rather than waste points. I wasn't sure how it worked for regular hotel stays. It's tough not to stay DVC, but we'll make due.
