I seem to have read a post a few months back about problems with staying at two different resorts and buying the DDP package. We will be staying 10 days, and will probably do 5 days at AKL and 5 at the POLY. Does this mean you have to buy two completely separate packages? FOr instance, instead of a 10 day MYW pass plus dining, do I have to buy two five day MYW passes with dining? Has anyone done the split stay with DDP, and could you let me know what to expect and if it is more of a hassle than it is worth??? Thanks for your help, it seems a little confusing!

It may be cheaper, though, to buy a nine-day ticket with the first reservation and then only a one day ticket with the other -- I have not run the numbers. Then amount of the dining plan would be the same because you purchase that for each night of your stay.

You have to do two packages. Do the first one at your first hotel with 10 day MYW passes and dining. Do the second at the second hotel with one day passes and dining. The second one day pass will be good forever, so you can use it on a future trip and upgrade it too if you want more days.

We did this last year, and it was very easy. No hassle at all. We love to do split stays because we usually stay 8-10 days, and it is like getting two separate vacations. Enjoy! AKL and the Polynesian are in my top 3!
