I've got family going to WDW on Sunday and they have no ADR's. Any suggestions about restaurants they're likely to get into?

Truly......if they do not want to do reservations before they go, at least if they walk up to any guest services at any resort and make a reservation for a restaurant, I would think it would be better than chancing being a walk up for that same day.

I have seen this work firsthand, I was turned away at the podium for a certain restaurant at a resort, went to guest services and got a reservation for 5 min from the time when I spoke to the castmember at guest services, went back to the podium and was seated..

I am not saying that they may not have luck with walk ups, it is just why chance if they seem to be holding tables for reservations....

I would recommend calling now, checking with Guest Services each day and then walking up. We did get seated at 1900 Park Faire last June after going to Guest Services at MK and being told there was nothing available anywhere near MK that evening. We hopped on the monorail and decided to give it a try and we were seated 5 minutes later. So it's not impossible, but it does make it "iffy". Spring Breaks should be over by next week, so hopefully it won't be too crowded for them. :goodvibes

Though OP didn't say so I think her family probably didn't realize they needed to make ADRs. I would still get a wish list, especially character meals, from them before calling Disney, you just never know. A few places that might have availability:

Playhouse Disney character meal at Hollywood and Vine at Disney Hollywood Studios.
Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand Floridian serves B, L and Dinner.
Coral Reef for lunch (it is in Epcot)
Garden Grill in Epcot (character meal with Chip & Dale in a rotating restaurant)

Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club doesn't take ADR, it'll be a burger and ice cream meal there.

Yes, they did know they should make ADR's. We gave them that tip back in December. I guess they just didn't think it was important.....

Nine Dragons in Epcot can usually do a walkup when everything else is booked.
The food is just okay, the iced-jasmine tea; devine !
We were just happy to find TS, so no complaints from us

I'm not sure when they are closing for remodeling, the dates have changed.

Forgot to ask where they are staying  Planet Hollywood is usually good for walk ups, Turf Club at SSR, Yacht Club Galley which is now Captains Grille was always easy to get into. ESPN Club & Big River Brewery at the BW don't take ADR's.

Sorry your family didn't listen, I know my Dad didn't understand why I was planning all our meals before our trip :rolleyes1

I would suggest showing up a few minutes before the place opens.. and try walk up that way.

Tony's in the MK is not bad for walk ups And I do know a few people who have gotten Chef Mickey as a walk up by showing up 10 mintues before the place opened.
