DDP & QuickService leftovers & takeout?

I posted this question on one of the DVC boards already but thought I would ask on the restaurant board again since you folks are in the know!

We will be staying at BWV and getting the DDP. Since we have a full kitchen, is it possible to stop by let's say Sunshine Seasons or some other Quick Service location INSIDE one of the parks on the way out going back to the room and get the entire meal TO GO???

It's usually way too much food anyways, so it would be perfect to take back for a later dinner or to munch on throughout the evening without having to go out again.

Has anyone gotten Quick Service TO GO before? Basically do they have bags to hold everything? I will have 2 kids with me so a bag with food in containers inside would be easier to hold then balancing a paper tray with everything piled on top ALL the way out of the park and back to the resort and room!!

Maybe I should just bring ziplocks, plastic supermarket bags or even disposal "tupperware" with me to the parks so that I can bring QS food back to the room with me "just in case" the QS places can not provide adequate take out containers!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Well, I guess no one else is trying to lug a bunch of food back to their room!! :rolleyes1

It's just that after a long day at the park and pool time, after I give the kids a bath, we may be all too tired to go out again. While there may be QS/CS places nearby our resort, I would have to get the kids all dressed up and drag them out to pick up the food. I will not be leaving them alone in the room, that's for sure! Just so much easier to pick up the food before hand and heat it up again later to eat in the room.

On days like that, we usually do cook simple meals like mac and cheese for the kids and stay in. But with DDP, why cook at all? And with ME, I don't plan on shopping for groceries anyways.

I guess I will just have to be prepared and bring some ziplock bags and a shopping bag to hang off the stroller "just in case!!!" ;)

Or maybe I should look for a collapseable cooler. Instead of people bringing tons of food INTO the parks, I will endeavor to bring tons of fodd OUT! :rotfl2:

Hope for the best and except the worst and all that...

Sorry hon Ive never tried to take meals back only leftovers..You know even if they only give you the styrofoam containers you can grab a bag from any shop, we normally have plenty of bags so I always carried my leftovers around in a disney shopping bag..

Ahhh yes! Disney shopping bags! Forgot about those.

And it does look like they do have styrofoam containers? Was that from a sit down restaurant? (which I know that they have) Or to hold leftovers from a Quick Service place?

Thanks for posting bluejasmine!

I've never tried them, but they now sell collapsable Rubbermaid containers. It might be worth sticking a few in a backpack. Just in case you find they won't give you a styrofoam to go box.

It's a good idea, I'm surprised no one has had experience taking QS to go!

We have gotten take out from the Pepper Market and the pool bar at CSR. They had styrofoam containers and put everything in a big shopping bag (a paper bag like you would get with a large purchase at a department store). I would guess that other CS locations would be able to do the same.
