I just penciled out roughly what we'll eat on our trip. We have a 10 year old "adult" that eats on the lighter side. I added up her ordering off the children's menu at times. Our 7 year old "child" seems to have a bottomless stomach, so I'm guessing there may be a bit of sharing happening at our table. ;) I only added desserts for us adults at a couple meals. Turns out the DDP will save us money and allow us more flexibility.

Will they allow my "adult" child to order off the children's menu at TS restaurants? Any chance they'd increase the size of the meal? She's starting to get more adventurous in her eating, but not sure she'll be super brave on vacation. One place I think it will be tough for her to order off the adult menu is at BOG. The majority of our TS are buffets (CM, Tusker House) or served family style (Ohana, Liberty Tree), so I don't think they'll be a problem.

Some restaurants will upsize the child's meal for a bigger appetite, but you'll have to ask at each place. If a restaurant won't upsize the meal, you can pay OOP for the child's portion and save her dining credit for another meal or a 2 credit meal.

You could always have your 7 yo order the kids meal for your older child and vice versa.

Yep. Have the 7 year old order what the 10 year old wants, and the 10 year old order what the 7 year old wants. Then switch meals. They don't care who eats which meal, just that the credits are used properly.

If you want to increase the size of the meal you should just try to order a larger size kids meal. Some restaurants will allow that but you will not know which ones until you have asked.
