When you book a package, is the dining plan tied to the resort stay (or the tickets)...?

We are thinking that we'll arrive in the early afternoon on our first day and just enjoy the resort (no park tickets this day). But, I'd love to do 1900 Park Fare on our first night if the DDP "kicks in" right away.

The number of dining plan credits is based on the number of nights you're staying at the resort. The credits are all available to be used as soon as you check in.

Since it is tied to the nights we have checked in and eaten on the plan the day we arrive and also used credits on the day we are leaving.

Look at it as a bank that is tied to your number of nights hotel stay. It does not matter when in your stay you use them.

Yes, you have access to use all of your dining credits from the time you check in until 11:59 p.m. after you check out.

Your credits are good from the moment you check in, so hit the pool, relax and then head where ever for dinner, your credits will be there, and they are good through midnight on the day of check out, so plan to have some for breakfast on departure day. Don't forget to spend your snack credits if you have any left over.
