Ok, got a question here with the DDP. The current cost for the CS DDP is 52.50 for adults. Is that what it is for 2019? And if Disney were to up the price next year at some point, will the price for DVC members stay put at 52.50?

I don't think that they have come out with the 2019 pricing yet, so you can't purchase it right now, but expect at least a 5-10% increase.

Sorry I was wrong. Here is what I found.

Along with the 2019 Disney World Resort Packages, Disney has released the cost of the 2019 Disney World Dining Plans. Adult packages have not seen a change, but the child package prices did increase slightly. Here’s the details.

Adult – per night
Child – per night

(children are 3-9 years old in Disney prices)
Quick Service Dining Plan
  • 2 quick-service meals
  • 2 snacks
  • 1 refillable mug
$52.50 $23.78
Regular Dining Plan
  • 1 table-service meal
  • 1 quick-service meal
  • 2 snacks
  • 1 refillable mug
$75.49 $27.98
Deluxe Dining Plan
  • 3 meals (any combination)
  • 2 snacks
  • 1 refillable mug
$116.25 $43.49

Yes. Prices are out for 2019. Adults staying the same and children going up a few bucks each. In the past, DVC members have not been impacted if there is a price increase in the DDP mid-year. The price is the same for DVC members for the entire calendar year.

I just came here to see if anyone knows if this is still the case. On the fence about doing DDP for January of 2019 and wondering if they are going to raise DDP prices with all of these other food price hikes going around.

DVC gets the same pricing -- no discount on the dining plan. They only food discounts you get are mostly TS at around 10%. Play with the numbers to see if it makes sense. Typically the DP does not save you $$ it is more of a convenience aspect. I was even considering getting the deluxe plan for one of our rooms and sharing credits (between 7 people), but when i compared it to TiW and even just the DVC discount - the TiW saved us $$ and the DVC discount was a small savings compared to the DxDD. At $52.50 for counter service -- if you average say $15-18 per TS meal and $5 per snack that comes out to be $40-$46 per day. The only additional aspect is the mugs, but if you are not going to be at the resort much then you won't get much use/value out of them. It really pays to figure out where you will be eating and estimate if there is any savings to the dining plan. What often is recommended it to purchase the same amount in disney gift cards (at a 5% discount at target) and use that as your "dining plan" this gives you a 5% savings and gives you the freedom to eat where and what you want. It is sometimes a bother to look at a menu and can only pick from what is a dining plan snack. Just my 2 cents, but what i have done to make sure i am getting a fair deal.

I ran the numbers and since I'm doing a split stay with high priced buffets it works out really well for me to do the DDP. But just wondering if the prices are locked now for DVC for 2019. I know in the past they locked them the whole year so if Disney has a hike, DVC doesn't. Wondering if I need to add it now and then decide or if I can wait.

Who knows now a days. With Disney anything can change overnight. Nothing is sacred anymore.

On the deluxe dining plan if you have any kids traveling with you list some in the room with the dining plan. you pay kids deluxe price and they do not differentiate between adults and kids credits

Correct. But some are wondering when the differentiate will stop. I'm sure Disney will close this loophole at some point just not sure when.

If traveling with people in a second room that is actually a pretty good idea
