DDP Popcorn bucket upcharge?

I know that the small popcorn is part of the DDP snack program where as the popcorn bucket are not. My question is, can you use a snack credit for the price of the small and pay the difference out of pocket to purchase the bucket?

In the dining plan brochure it clearly states that any food or beverage that comes in a souvenir container is not included in the dining plan so you will have to pay OOP for it.
