Im just wondering if anyone can help me out, im a bit confused and angry. Im travelling to Orlando on the 6th November this year with my wife and daughter staying at OKW which includes the Dining Plan. My 180 day cut off day is the 10th May and we have writen down the restaurants we would like to visit (a few character dinings included). I know that some restaurants book up in the first few hours so I want everything to run smoothly but I still need my disney reservation number so here's the deal...
Ive just phoned Travel City Direct (the operator I booked with) to see if they have it, considering its only a couple weeks away from the 180 day thing) and the lady on the phone said she has just spoken to the disney help team and they have said that the reservation number do not get released until Six-Five months before!!! How can that be? If I don't receive it until five months before how am I expected to get into some of the restaurants we've chosen (Chef Mickeys, Akershus, Crystal Palace etc etc). Should I ring disney myself? Would they release it to me personally??? Im just a bit concerned. PLEASE HELP!!!

Call disney i would, ive had my number since last year although not booked with the same company im booked with complete orlando

I have no idea if Disney would give you the number, however you should be able to get it from TCD. Have you managed to link anything to MDE? If so, and your onsite reservation is showing up, you will be able to make your ADRs for the first 10 days anyway.

If not, you have a couple of options. You could call Disney and see if they will give you the confirmation number direct. You could wait until the 180-day point and call Disney Dning, give them your TCD number and see if they might be able to use that to make your ADRs. Or (not ideal but, unless you want very hard to get reservations such as Be Our Guest, 'Ohana or Cinderella's Table) you could use the app or website to make each ADR at the 180 day point.

I appreciate that you are unhappy about this. Personally, I would be back on the phone to TCD to see what they propose to do about it. Hopefully someone else who has previously booked with TCD will be able to share their experience or give you some tips.

Ive just phoned disney myself and was able to get the number of them within 2 minutes of being on the phone. Its amazing how a travel company say I cant have it till six-five months before yet it was there waiting for me all along. I will be writing a letter of complaint to them because some things obviously need changing. If I would have took there word for it, I would have possibly missed out on some of the restaurants that we pick...
