DDP newbie....

I have seen all the rumors about free disney dining.
How do you book it? what does it include? character meals, epcot buffets?
We have never stayed on site, were thinking of coming October 5-12 but could change plans easily as our Anniversary is September 16 and the boys are only 4&6 so school isn't a big issue.
Our favourite place to eat is the German pavillion at Epcot and breakfast at chef Mickey's at the Polynesian and the Pooh breakfast at the Royal/Crystal Palace.
Is there a list of participating restaurants somewhere I could peruse?

If and when it is announced, you can either book it by calling Disney or book it online. I called Disney and just asked for the free DDP. Easy as that!

As to what it includes, Disney has a brochure on the website telling you exactly what restaurants participate (almost all do), which ones are TS and CS, and which ones are Signature (requiring 2 TS credits). Character meals are included, though I think there are a couple that require to credits, 'Ohana being one. But Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace are definitely included.

By the way, I love the DDP and highly recommend it if only for the convenience factor.

I misspoke somewhat. I don't know why I said 'Ohana required two credits. I think I must have been thinking about the Luau at the Poly.

Anyhoo, one more thing: there is a sticky thread at the top for DDP FAQ. It's very helpful when deciding or planning.
