DDP Newbie...does this sound right, and can I do it???

We are on a discount room only rez...can I add the dining plan? I read its approx $46 pp for adults and $12 pp for kids, so for us at 7 nights would only be about $800. Right now we are budgeting $1750 for food, planning at least 1 TS meal per day. Thats a huge savings, Im wondering if we can add it??

You have to convert the reservation to a room package...with room and tickets, and then can add dining. You will still get the room discount. This will only work if you booked through Disney or Disney travel agent...cannot add to expedia and similar sites

The savings can be that good. But you can't add any dining plan unless you book a package.

So you may want to compare if that discount is actually gonna cost you more in the end.
