DDP is there any restrictions?

We are using the Disney dining plan for the first time and have booked restaurants but I was wondering if anyone found any restrictions in the restaurants, for example did they say you couldn't have the most expensive item or it only includes certain food I.e with the logo next to what you can have?

I always get the regular or deluxe dining plan when I travel to WDW. I have yet to find a restaurant that won't let me order the most expensive item, which is usually the filet mignon. I've eaten at most of the signature and table service restaurants. I'm trying Fulton's and Wolfgang Puck Upstairs this time out. I'll have to see if Fulton's has any restrictions.

Typically the only restriction is the meals for 2 people or appetizer for 2. You can still get it, but it will count as 2 orders by 2 people and you'll split it (just as it was meant for).

They're just trying to avoid one person getting a meal for 2, so that's understandable.

I haven't seen anything else restricted on the menu.

I believe that snack items are the only things that are clearly marked as far as what you can buy with your dining plan. When you go up to any counter-service place or snack stand, you'll see the little dining plan symbol next to the available items.

As far as table-service places, I've never seen restrictions on what food you can order. You get one entree- any entree from what I've seen. Same with desserts. The only discrepancy I've seen is with drinks. When we went to the 50's Prime Time Cafe, we were told we could get milkshakes as our drinks, and it was a great deal. I don't know that you could do that at every restaurant, but then again we never asked.
