Brief synopsis. First off, the DDP is Great so well worth it you can't imagine... just DO IT you won't regret it!! Family of 4 I'll try to include prices if I remember.

Chef Mickey - ok, not the greatest, but worth it... buffet, dinner, approx. $170.00

Concorse Steak House - FABULOUS- Jorge was our waiter, SUPERB! He made our day!! Food was excellent too, ny strip steaks, onion rings, key lime pie... yum.... around $200 something I believe.

Mama Melrose's - GREAT - calamari - wonderful, fresh mozzarella and tomato, excellent - chicken parm, steak, salmon, all wonderful. Again, around $200 something..

Coral Reef - warm triple chocalate dessert a MUST, the greatest!!!! Food excellent, service excellent... again $200 something...

Crystal Palace - breakfast - buffet - all good stuff, especially fried french toast (usaully don't like fried, this was great tho)! $95.00

Counter Services we had salads, chicken fajitas, hamburgers, you name it, all great... and pricey between $50 and $60 per day...

Snacks - great fruit, ice creams, etc.. around $12.00 or so a day.

The DDP payed for itself with dinners. We were never rushed, treated great, can't say one negative about it. I'd do it again in a heart beat. We ate great, enjoyed it all, never once had an issue with service or waits. Did ask for some things to be put on the side, gravies and sauces, no problem, switched potatoes at Coral Reef from au gratin to roasted, no problem. If anyone has any questions just ask...

DDP is five star!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for your DDP review. Did you have anyone using a child's credit? If so, how were the CS places?

Thanks for your great review! My husband and I will be WDW bound in October, and are trying to decide if the DDP is right for us. This definitely helps in our decision...great $ savings! Was pulling yourself away from the parks for a TS every day at all difficult?

Only had adults, (youngest child 11). There are so many choices for CS I'm sure you will find something... I didn't notice alot of kids menus cause I wasn't looking, but did see the typical mac and cheese, chicken, etc..

Made ADR's at different times, ranging from 1:40 lunch to 8:00 PM dinner. Made them according to what park we would be in at at the time, example, wanted to see spectro, did lunch at MK at 1:40. The only time I made a mistake so to speak was Epcot, did Coral Reef at 5:40, should have done it later, since we had to walk back from the Worlds before we were really ready to, but not bad, would have done a 7:00 instead, but not a big deal. Needed the time to relax so we used our TS's for that. Varied them to help break things up. Just be sure to leave enough time if you want to see things like Spectro or Illuminations. The only TS that we had that I thought was early was Mama Melroses, but we used that for Fantasmic, had a 4:20 and got out in time to walk over to illuminations by 6:30. Any later and we wouldn't have made it, so it worked out. Just go on TOT BEFORE you eat!!! (a couple hours before!!).

I know the kids menu wouldn't have worked for us as my kids always liked "adult" food... maybe you can find out if you can pay to upgrade to adults? not sure if they let you, but the adult portions are soooo large I'm sure you could feed your kids from it too. Lets say they get mac and cheese, you can always share your meal since it's more than enough food, I think I only finished mine a couple of times and somewhat regretted it afterwards, too full!

They really are huge portions, especially since you get dessert too for a CS and appetizer, dinner and dessert for TS.

Snacks have great options, fresh fruit bowls are wonderful you get grapes, and melon. Grapes were super sweet, honey dew was great and cantaloupe - very good too. When purchasing milk, remember they have little cartons and larger milk "bottles" they still count as a snack no matter what size... so go for the bigger ones, the little ones are too small. They have the bottles of Nesquick and white milk the same size. you can reseal them and take them to the parks without a cooler, it's not that warm out, as long as you drink them within a couple of hours, that's what my kids did. Got them around 8 ish finished by 9:30 ish.. still were cold in the back pack.

The cost of the dining plan and the amount spent on food per day saved us at least $70 if not more per day on average. Just at FYI for those contemplating it. I still believe it is well worth it if you plan on eating a nice dinner every day and don't want to have to worry about ordering for price instead of what you really want!

We had a great expierence with the DDP and we had 3 children and 2 adults. We found that they group together the CS and seperate the TS into adult and children. From what I gather it is because some places that you can use you CS do not have childrens option. EX. we went to Main Street Bakery for breakfast we got 2 ham and cheese croissants, a banana, yogurt and bagel along with 3 drinks. They charged us 2 CS and 1 snack. Oh and the girls wanted a turkey leg so we could either use 1 snack or like we did a CS, girls got hte turkey leg, DS got a bag of Doritos and DH got a pop.

We did the DDP for the first time in November. We were a little nervous about it since we have the DDE and were used to paying OOP, but it was fabulous! We like doing 1 CS and 1 TS a day, so it was absolutely perfect. We'll be doing the DDP for every trip now, including our upcoming May trip! I'm so glad we decided to give it a whirl, and the promotion price didn't hurt either. It also helped that we got all the restaurants we wanted. Definitely fans of the DDP here! :)

We just returned from a week at WDW (Wilderness Lodge Villas) and the first time using the DDP (2adults, 1child). We will definitely do it again, but boy it was alot of food! Being stuffed does not begin to explain the gastronomical excesses the plan allows! :goodvibes

Some quick observations: CA Grill: over-rated, not worth the 2 TS credits. They try to be upscale and have a dress code but it's not enforced so you have the awkward situation of those with coats sitting next to those in t-shirts and shorts. Food was fine, but again not worth the menu prices, nor the 2 credits. Fireworks were fabulous however!

LeCellier Restaurant: excellent. Well worth the single TS credit. My filet was much better than CA Grill and about $10 cheaper (per menu).

Ohana's: Very good. I know it's an all-inclusive price so maybe not the best bang for the DDP buck but everything was well-cooked, served promptly and in a fun atmosphere (key consideration with toddlers!).

All in all, with the DDP it felt like being on a cruise where it's try what you like and then try some more. It was nice having a first-class, sit down meal every night and not worrying about ordering something on the menu due its price. Just order, relax and enjoy!

I agree 100%, loved it, loved it, loved it!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the review, 3Daughters!

We had the DDP on our last trip, too, and it was indeed wonderful. Plenty o' food, and it worked out to be a huge discount for us. Plus no worries about "gee, can I afford the filet, or should I get the sausage dish?" :goodvibes

That is great news! We will be doing the DDP soon and am looking forward to it!

That's great that it worked so well for you. For us, we've been to WDW so many times, I know what our food budget usually runs. We have never spent as much on food as it would cost us to have the DDP. We would never eat all that food, either. We've never had a problem with substitutions or asking for things on the side, paying with cash either. Any decent restaurant will allow you to do that.

Hello, we will be visiting WDW in May and are having a hard time deciding on the DP. We have one son that loves the churros. Are they available on the snack choice? Thanks
