DDP-how will the restaurants know?

I have a question since this is the first time using the DDP. How will the restaurants know I'm on the plan? Is it listed on my ticket/room key. I e-mailed my travel agent asking for the DDP brochure and she said she e-mailed me. I never did get it and I didn't see anything on there where it explains what we need to do. Thank you!

Not to worry. The servers will ask when you sit down if you're on the plan. They'll then walk you through the options available.

Your KTTW cards will also show the number of adults and children on the plan.

Either they will ask when checking in to your ADR or the server will ask once you are seated if you are on the Dining Plan. The front of your MYW tickets will have the Dining Plan written on it, along with the dates of your stay. They may or may not ask to see your card.

If they didn't ask if you were on the dining plan, I would definitely tell your server once you are seated to rid of the mass confusion that will come at the end of your meal if you don't.

I'm sorry to hijack, but we're also new to the DDP and if they don't ask to see our key card, then how do the credits get scanned? I'd like some sort of receipt or print-out after each meal to try to keep things straight.

You HAVE to give them your key card when paying for your meal. They will scan the card and the proper amounts of credits will be taken off. You will get a receipt that shows the remaining credits left.

There are reports that some servers are asking to see the key cards prior to the meals. The reasons for this appear to be: 1) some diners are not aware of the differences between the deluxe and the basic plan, and the key card will alert the servers as to which plan they are using; 2) some guests are under the impression that appetizers are still included with the basic plan, and the servers prefer to inform them prior to their ordering any appetizers.
