DDP & final payment?

I haven't even made my ressies yet, but think I need to get crackin'. Do I have to have made final payment before making the reservations for the ddp?

Your question could be read in two different ways but the answer to both is no:

1. If your question is, do I have to have made the final payment on my package which includes the DDP before I can make restaurant reservations (ADRs), the answer is no. Restaurant reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance by anyone - staying on property, staying off property, locals, people who even have no firm plans of any kind to even be in Orlando. (Guests with a resort reservation can make up to 10 days' worth of ADRs starting 180 days from their check-in date.) Final payment on a WDTC package has nothing to do with eligibility for making ADRs. Seeing that you are going in late October, ADRs have been open for those dates since late April, so you should feel free to call NOW and see what's available.

2. If your question is, do I have to have made the final payment on my package that does NOT include the DDP before I can ADD the DDP to my package, again the answer is no. You can upgrade your package before or after final payment, although it may not be possible to add the DDP less than 5-7 days before check-in (and I probably wouldn't want to add it at such a late date anyway unless I already had ADRs in place for most or all of my TS meals).

Thank you! I was waiting for an october code, but I think I will call now and make the reservations and then call to do my ADR. I'm getting nervouse because I am usually more organized than this. Since my weight loss surgery in july of '05, I have been a mess as far as organization goes. LOL! Not only did I lose my weight, I lost my ability to plan! LOL!
