DDP enhancements

Not good £ for £ changes, but will allow people to get snacks to bring home if they have left over credits. As snacks tend to be very unhealthy and fattening it's certainly not a health conscious change though!!!!!

Seems to be a last resort, use or lose option rather than something you would want to do.

Seems like a much better option for people who struggle to use qs. Especially if the lack of adult and child credit separation on qs remains.
Eg we often have 2 adult meals to serve 2 adults and a child. Dd would now be able to spend the spare qs credits at goofys for sweets to bring home for her friends etc. in the past I've used the spare as extra breakfast etc so never wasted but this is a good option.

We always have snack and meal credits left over, and this trip is no exception. We will use up our snack credits on sweets to bring home and today I asked if a cinnamon roll could be put through as a meal credit (as we have plenty), this was done without issue, the server just said to take a piece of fruit too

The expanded snack offerings don't seem much of a change to me

They used to allow the changing of QS to 3 snacks unofficially so it looks like they have just made it official so there is no CM gamble.

For us it will mean we can use the left over QS as snacks to bring home.

great news for us as we have always 'wasted' a few cs credits. We did find with the opening of Starbucks last year we wasted less as we did like the option of a coffee and takeaway pastry for the following day's breakfast but we have found that generally we have been refused the chance to exchange. Being able to get three snacks at Karamell Kuche in lieu of a counter service sounds fab.

Also the change to include apples is fab as I always end up paying for some oop.

We had lots of QS credits left last October. We just spoke to a manager in the Artists Palette (in SSR) and he said we could change them into snack credits no problem at all. We filled up on sweets etc to bring home as gifts.

Quite a few places have allowed this in the past - on the odd occasion when we've had the DDP and not used our QS meals we've used them as additional snack credits.

Just recovering from a bad back, went on me while gardening last Monday. Apart from that very well.
Had an amazing holiday at Easter, one of our best ever, drove 2,065 miles over 8 states covering New Orleans, Memphis & Nashville.
We fly into Miami on 6th August, 1 nt near airport, 5 nts in Key West, 3 nts travelling upto Orlando where we are staying 15th-21st, 1 nt at Port Canaveral then 7 nt cruise.
Talking to Mart he says they are doing Discovery Cove, are you doing it with them? we said we would either do that or we will pop into OKW(or DTD) sometime to meet up.
Hope we can meet up at some point as we can't do Xmas/New Year again, going to Dublin.

We are doing DC with Mart. If you are not at DC.....DTD would be a good meeting point since we are at Raglan Rd on the same evening. I don't think Mart has an ADR for that night but will check to confirm. No trippie for the road trip? Kept looking but couldn't see anything.

So glad this is official now,we had some QS credits left last year and after reading on DIS several times about changing them into snack credits we went to BC Marketplace and the CM point blank refused,i asked for the manager and told them that i knew it had been done by other guests but she was adamant that i was wrong,that it was impossible to doIt was so frustrating as i knew SHE was wrong.I have noticed though Dole Whip and Funnel Cake are off the Snack credit list

This is potentially good news for Food and Wine - as although you can't swap a QS for F&W items, you can use that for other snack items / take homes, freeing up more actual snack credits for the booth items....

Distraught that funnel cakes and Dole Whips are gone though????

According to various reports Dole whips are still available, not sure about Funnel cakes. Disney have said that there's glitch on their site which states that you can't use the DDP at these locations! I guess that only time will tell!

We did this last week had 2 qs meals left over and somehow had 2 table service, despite us actually using all of them so somewhere didnt take all the credits.

Contempo cafe let us turn the qs into 3 snacks each, so we got 6 bagles to have for breakfast the next day in the villa. They said we couldnt convert the TS. I wasnt too worried as it was a mistake.
