DDP - DVC members

Hi,

We are hosting a family reunion in October at OKW. We have a GV and 2 studios reserved for 8 nights.

We've never used the DDP, but thought it might be a good option for our group, as we plan to go to dinner shows, character meals, etc.

We will have 8 people staying in the GV, and 4 additonal people staying in the studios.

How is the DDP assigned to each person? Is it added to their room key?

Does everyone in the GV have to sign up for the DDP? If we choose not to puchase for the folks staying in the studios, is this OK ..I assume it follows each room ..as they are different reservation numbers??

If we go out as a group, and only half of our group is on the DDP, will they accept DDP and cash as payment for meals?


We will have different people staying in the studios during the 8 nights, as some family members can only stay for a long weekend ..if we did purchase the DDP ..if we decide to purchase for the studio ..can it follow the guests that are there at the time, or can it only be used by the person who initially started using the plan. (i.e. == "Linda" there first 4 nights and "beth" last 4 nights ...can they use the same DDP purchased for the full 8 nights?)

For those of you who have used the plan ..did you find like it?

You can purchase the DDP for each group separately or pick and chose if you want. You could get if for each room separately so it could be for 2, 4, 8, 10 or 12 in this scenario. The one thing you no longer are allowed to do is use it for those you don't purchase it for though there are exceptions even there. I'd look at the dining habits of those involved, your reservations and the menu's involved to decide which ones would benefit and which ones wouldn't. You could even move the parties around in the units if you needed to in order to secure the right mix. The ages will make a difference, esp for children in the 3-9 age. Unless you are going a LOT of 2 ticket items including dinner shows and signatures it is unlikely you'll need it for the entire group.

Regarding the people moving out and moving in, will they have tickets on their keys? I was going to say you could just have the original people leave their keys (it they were on the dining plan) but that could be a problem if there are tickets on them.
