We will be staying at SSR during our upcoming December trip. As a result, we plan to eat at the new T-Rex restaurant since we are so close to Downtown Disney. Is there a link anywhere which indicates the restaurants that "are" and "are not" Disney Dining Plan locations in Downtown Disney?

There are pdf versions of the DDP brochures on the member website. They list the locations that accept DDP.

Seems like I read that the new T-Rex restaurant will join the DDP, but not until January 2009 and then I am not sure if the basic DDP will apply, but the premium DDP and above.

I know Wolfgang Puck Cafe on the Westend is DDP. House of Blues is not.

I was wondering the same thing and found out that T Rex will take the Premium and Wine and Dine versions of DDP but not the Quick Service or "regular" 1TS, 1QS and 1Snack version of DDP. I am bummed. But....DVC members will get a 10% discount. Reservations will be taken for T Rex starting January 1st.

T-Rex will not take DDP. It will take the premium and platinum plans only.

(These are not the same as the regular and deluxe dining plans - the premium/platinum plans include many more items besides dining, such as park tours, Cirque tickets, resort recreation and fireworks viewing. They start at well over $100 per person per night.)

I would have to say on premium and platinum. You would be getting a steal if it were on bdp. DH, DS and I ate there yesterday and we had 2 adult drinks (granted, we got to keep the glass and the shaker), 1 child's drink (nope, does not come with the kids meal and is $1.99...), club soda (yup, they charged for the bubbly water $2.99!!), 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 1 child's meal - with tax and tip - $100.00 (and yes, we could have saved ourselves $12.99 and $9.99 if we had avoided the caveman punch - i.e. hurricane - and cotton candy martini - they put a hunk of cotton candy in your martini glass and poor your watered down martini of choice over the cotton candy for a ridiculously sweet, albeit fun, cocktail...BUT, DH wanted the glass and the shaker :confused3 )

If you plan on going there - do the dining plan that includes it and eat there twice...lol. Get your money's worth.

From what I have heard and when I went last week and asked, they said the discounts are supposed to start in January 2009

boy been saying it would NOT be on the DDP period - because the rainforest cafe in DD is not. AK is. DD is not.

nice to know it will be on a DDP.

this is owned by the same place.

you can make reservations at rain forest in DD by calling the rain forest phone number - so expecting the same from t-rex

The Irish Pub / Restaurant, Reaglan Road (SP?) used to be part of the plan.

Anyone ????

If it still is part of the DDP, I think it's a great choice; good food and atmosphere.

Raglan Road did accept the plan in 2008. It's not listed in the 2009 brochure. Disney could still be in talks with them and might be added later. There are only 2 locations at Downtown Disney that are listed as accepting the DDP in 2009. They are:
Downtown Disney® Area
FoodQuest (L,D)
Cap’n Jack’s Restaurant (L,D)

As this is a DDP question, and not DVC specific, I am moving this thread to the Restaurant DDP board.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe (TS) and Wolfgand Puck Express (CS)are on the plan for 2008. We ate at RFC at DTD in Sept and when we ordered the adult beverages she asked if we wanted the regular or large size - We said large and ended up paying double the regular price because they came in the flashing light souvenir glasses. We did not realize that was what she was taking about and will never make that mistake again -

None of the restaurants that are owned by third parties will appear on the 2009 dining plan list until the end of the year. Cap'n Jack's is the only restaurant at DTD owned by Disney (other than Food Quest which is located inside Disney Quest and you can't access that without DQ admission).

The email from T-Rex has been posted here several times - they have confirmed that, like Rainforest Cafe, they will accept the premium and platinum plans but not the regular or deluxe dining plans. It's doutful Landry's will change its mind for 2009. They will have DVC and possibly AP discounts.

Of the non-Disney-owned restaurants at DTD, historically, the dining plan has been accepted at Raglan Road, Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express - nowhere else. (The Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom does not accept the regular or deluxe dining plans either).
