DDP Downgrade Question

I know this is a little late to ask since we arrive at WDW in 2 days but does anyone know if it's possible to downgrade my Reg DP to QSDP and just get a giftcard for the difference I paid? I have searched all over and cannot seem to find info on this. I also tried to call Disney but they are closed until tomorrow morning. I know it is normally a possibility early on but not so sure if you can so close to the trip. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

I know that you must add the DDP at least 72 hours in advance so it is possible that you won't be able to change things this close to your arrival date.

If they do allow it, you will be charged a $50 change fee (since you are downgrading your package) plus, I believe I read there is an additional fee charged when the change is within a week of check in (but not positive on this one).

I am assuming that what you did was pay the upgrade free from the free QSDP to regular DDP. I believe that any refund you would be due, after the fees, would be charged back to your credit card.

Give them a call first thing in the morning. Good luck and I hope it works out!

Thanks for the info! I also read before it might be possible to switch a TS Credit to 2 CS credits. That's what I'm really wanting to do so I don't have to change the entire DP. However, I read it isn't that common. Has anyone had any luck with this?

During free dining, I have heard that they sometimes allow you to exchange a TS credit for a CS credit, but it is a one for one trade. There would be no extra credit given (ie: 1 TS for 2 CS).
