DDP - Double Booking?

Hi Disney Fans - anyone else noticed that you can book more than one reservation for the same timeframe on the DDP? I recently had to make a change to a resy. and the system asked me if I knew there was a conflict
with another resy? I had the option to accept - therefore having two reservations for the same time??? Doesn't seen like a good idea considering
alot of people can't get reservations at certain restaurants?????

There's every reason to allow this -- you party may be splitting up for a meal with each group joining with other diners.

That aside, it be courteous to not "double-book" two reservations for the same party. As a transient situation while rearranging plans, it's not a problem, but it does a disservice to other patrons if you hold onto reservations you know you can't use.

Yes - agree. Just as an FYI - I had the same number of people in my party
and the double booking was still being accepted. I'm all about whatever conveniences can be provided for Disney guests, however, I feel the disservice to others is a bigger issue, as you noted. Thanks!!!

Being on the DDP has nothing to do with it though. Even if paying OOP the online system still allows double booking. I agree it's wrong though, but sometimes members of a party may want to split up and eat at different restaurants, so the system just about has to allow it.
