DDP - Do I pay prior to check in?

I'm still trying to decide whether to use the DDP for our trip. We are splitting a stay - studio 1st 3 nights and then 1 bdrm. 4 nights.

If I add it to the first part of our stay do I pay for it ahead of time or when we arrive? Can I use Disney Visa points to pay for it?

You have to have the DDP liked into the reservation by MS before you arrive, but you pay for it at check-in.
