I have 2 preteens- 11 and 12. They are still pretty much "kid menu" eaters. BUT, since they must pay adult prices- can they do something like this? Order a kids entree as their meal but still get the adult dessert- using their adult credits?

Yes, no problem, but keep in mind that the kids meals are not very big. We were there last week and our 3 yo granddaughter had no problem consuming her entire kids meal during every TS place we visited. This included chicken soup as her appetizer, generally the pizza (sometimes chicken) and kiddie desert of ice cream. Here's a tip, when my 13 yo grandson was on the DDP last year, he would modify the adult entree. He would get the filet or prime rib, or fried chicken on the adult menu, but instead of the fancy stuff (mashed potatoes, funny veggies) he would always sub french fries. This worked great for him, and of course, the adult desert. Try this each time you visit a TS locations. The staff will have no problem not putting a sauce, cream, or icky stuff on the dish too.

That's good to know about the french fries..Looking over the menus of where we are going- I'm still not seeing much that they will eat even with getting rid of the "fancy" stuff..For intance, we are going to Coral Reef- it's MUST DO for them.. The only thing that will be acceptable is the mac and cheese. The do not eat most meat that comes off a bone or chewy meats like roast

Yes that would be a problem. My grandson generally gets the NY strip at Coral Reef. Maybe they would "supersize" the kids' portion.

At Coral Reef the kids meal might be a better deal for them. My 6yo nephew ate:
Apple slices, full pizza (bigger than a Pizza Hut pan pizza) and a make your own sundae. He's picky, but pizza always works for him. With a kids meal he got the apples as an appetizer. No appetizer for us adults.

I ordered an adult meal, but a kids dessert, the same fun sundae he had! I'd talk to the server about options too They see this a lot and perhaps have suggestions in mind for you.
