DDP Available with Group Rate?

When we booked our group rate last September, we were told that DDP wasn't available. Our group sales contact told us that they were "working on it" and to check back in as the time got closer.

We're not going until July, so I don't want to call every day and inquire. (Yes, it's killing me!!)

Does anyone know if it's available yet?

As far as I know, it is still only available with the MYW package, and with DVC reservations. I suspect some others in "still in the works." I'm putting my money on AP holders with room-only reservations being one of the next to be offered the Dining Plan (but that's just a guess -- I haven't heard or seen anything indicating that that is actually the case).

Can someone explain this DDP group rate further? I know nothing of this, we have res' for 9/27-10/7 w/dining and no one ever mentioned this.

The group rate that is being discussed is for the hotel room -- not for the Dining Plan. The OP was asking about the fact that there no provisions for offering the Dining Plan to folks booking their hotel rooms at the group rate. Generally, group rates are preempted from a number of Magic Your Way package benefits.

Last year a few groups were able to purchase meal vouchers. You might ask. Not as great a deal as the meal plan but it's a way to pre-pay for some meals. You'll save some money if you're selective where you use them.
