Hi everyone

I am looking at booking 2 weeks at POFQ with the free Quick Service Dining Plan - I will be booking through Virgin (I have some vouchers to use) and they say I have to buy a park ticket even though I hold an AP.

WDW says AP holders do not need to buy a ticket (if they have a room reservation) to qualify for free DDP.

My question is - do you think I would be able to get the free dining when I turn up, having booked a VH package but not a ticket (my DH & DD will buy ticketts & qualify for the free dining with Virgin)?

Long winded I know - any thoughts??

I thought you had to buy tickets at the same time? I've heard of people buying a 1 day ticket to be eligable at the time of booking

Errr - do they? AFAIK all free dining deals require park ticket purchase, although as the poster above said, you can purchase just a one-day pass for each member of your party.

But with VH they only offer the UK tickets of multiple days not the MYW one day ticket. Hmmm wonder how/if that can be got around?

With the vouchers I have to book a package with VH - I can't just get a fly drive, otherwise I would be looking at DIY

To qualify for free dining from VH everyone on the booking ....

Disney park tickets must be added at the time of booking to qualify for Free Dining Plan, if park tickets are subsequently removed from the booking we reserve the right to remove the Dining Plan from the booking. Guests must stay for a minimum of 5 nights and a maximum of 21 nights to qualify for free dining offer.

There is no other way round it as far as I can see if you want to use VH for a package.

For Free Dining even in the US everyone on the booking must purchase a ticket.

Ap Holders can AP discounted rooms and pay to add the dining plan without the need for a ticket purchase.

Think you are going to need to decide if it is worth the savings from free dining & Tesco vouchers.

Hmm maybe if you bought the Premium tickets you could pay the extra to upgrade so valid for life? I know it is an extra expense but it can be used in the future and save costs then.
