Ddp, Ap, Aaa?

Now I'm responsible for making the ressie's for our grand gathering in Dec. Everyone is CAA members so we are booking through them as we all have to book together for a grand gathering. Dh and I are going for free dining in Sept and plan on upgrading our tickets to AP's at the end. Can CAA transfer my ressie to the AP rate with the DDP or will I have to go directly through Disney? I was thinking I could make our ressie a room only and than have them change it over to AP with DDP when the rates come out. If they don't have an AP rate availible will I still be able to book with the CAA room rate adding on the DDP without having to buy the one day ticket?
