I wanted to know if anyone was given any trouble on the dining plan with kids
around 14yrs old? I was told that they can order off the adult menu (app. & entree). My daughter is 14 and just curious if anyone ran into a wait staff person who hassled them?
Thanks
Jay

I don't know why you would be given a problem. If the child is 10 or older they are considered an adult and you pay an adult rate so of course they would be able to order off the adult menu.

My son is 14 - we will arrive in WDW on 6/18, so I can't answer your question positively. However, I can't imagine why it would be problem. I believe I read Disney considers any child over the age of 9 an "adult" when it comes to the dining plan. Any one else out there know if this is true?

My 14 year old ordered off the adult menu at every meal. No problems at all. At certain restaurants, even my 10 year old was able to get adult appetizers and desserts.

No problems in December. Your card will be labelled so that should clear up any possible misunderstandings. DD will be considered an adult this trip and I don't anticipate any issues.

For kids 10 and up you pay adult prices so you will be able to order off of the adult menu.
