DDP and Yachtsmans Steakhouse

I was wondering how the dining plan worked here? I know its 2 credits, however, I was wondering what you are able to order? Can you order the steak for 2 with the DP? Or if you just order a steak do you get a side with this as well, like the mac and cheese or is this something you have to order and pay for separately? Thanks so much

Yes you can order the steak for 2 but it will require 4 credits. There can still be 2 apps and 2 desserts with this but only one entrée! THe sides (mac n cheese, etc) are separate but the steak does come with a few itself! Its delish!!

They recently added wagyu beef that Im not sure is covered or not. It is on the menu, does not say "for 2" and is pretty expensive! Sorry I couldn't help with that but the porterhouse for 2 is def covered with 4 credits! ENjoy!

I was not aware that you got apps with the dining plan? I just have the basic one, one TS and one CS a day? I thought desserts only?

Im sorry, you only get apps with the DxDDP not the regular. Still though, the steak for 2 will require 4 TS credits for that and also will include 2 desserts.

At any restaurant the Entree includes everything that is listed in the description of the entree. Often it will include some kind of side, but at many steakhouses, including Shula's at the Dolphin or STK in Disney Springs, the entree might be just the steak itself. Many restaurants will have additional sides on the menu, that are farther down the menu in a separate section often entitled "Side Dishes," "Accompaniments," or "Enhancements" and they will include separate price points. These are not included in the dining plan and will have to be paid for out of pocket if you order them.

Edited to add: I just looked at the Yachtsman's menu and the description of most of the steak entrees include a potato side. There are additional sides farther down the menu in a separate "Sides" section that would be out of pocket if ordered.

Items that are described as "For 2" can be ordered on the dining plan, but will take the credits of 2 diners so in the case of the Yachtsman "the steaks for 2" will be a total of 4 credits.

Apps are not included in the regular DDP at Table Service restaurants except when you order the prix fixe meal (e.g. Chefs de France, Monsieur Paul, but there may be an upcharge), dinner packages (e.g. Candlelight, Fantasmic and Jungle Book), dinner shows (e.g. Hoop De Doo), fixed price meals (CRT, Akershus).
