DDP and poolside eating at GF

Does anyone know how poolside eating at resorts (GF) is handled under the Deluxe Dining Plan?

Would that be considered a counter-service credit or a room-service equivalent?

Please let me know if you have experience with this.

I'm asking about getting food at the pool bar (even though I have no idea what food is available there).

They only have a couple premade sandwiches at the Beach Pool bar and I don't think it counts towards the DDP. You can't get hot food there at all.

I sent DH to Gasparillas to get CS to go and bring it back to us.

Since I will likely be sent off to fetch the food, do you know how the DDP credit system works when one person gets food for their whole family?

Are the DDP credits tied to the room numbers, or do I need to have everyone's key to have the food properly allocated (like a fast pass volunteer)?

credits for each room are pooled and available from any one of the cards attached to that room... so you would need a card from any of the guests in the room in order to get food for any and/or all of you...

Gasparilla's has both trays and the cashiers can give you bags as well (get a bag for the bottled drinks if you are carrying them back to the pool, they fall over very easily on the tray).

You can also get the food with lids on most of the items to help you carry it.

We found the food and selection much better than anticipated here and ate CS several times at the hotel while we stayed there.

Hi, We did poolside dining about a year ago at the GF and what you are actually ordering from is "Private Dining"(Room Service,but delivered to the pool) So if you can use TS credits (which I believe is all you get with DELUXE Dining) for Private Dining at the GF then you should be able (theoretically)to use them by the pool. Joan
