DDP and MYW tickets question

I was planning on buying my tix from a discounted website (not sure if I can say which one on this site?) - but does this mean I cannot add the dining plan through Disney? To do the DDP, do I have to buy my tix directly through Disney also?

If you are staying at a DVC resort, on a reservation made through Member Services and not Disney Travel/Central Reservations, it does not matter where you buy your park tickets. The DDP is simply part of your room reservation, not a "package" like for regular cash customers.

If you are paying cash for your room through the regular Disney reservatoins, then you have to buy tickets through Disney.

Thank you - that is exactly what I needed to know. I am staying on points at VWL while my inlaws are paying cash for their room at WL. So I will just buy my tickets through the discounted website and tell my inlaws they must buy their tix through Disney directly. Thank you for the answer!

Yes, but I'll bet you weren't on the dining plan. To get the Dining Plan with CRO you have to purchase at least a one day park ticket as part of the package.

If you have a "room only" reservation, you can get tickets wherever you wish, but you can not add the dining option.

We were just at Disney 12th - 17th. We purchased our park tickets through undercover tourist, and we used the DDP as well with no problems. We stayed at SSR. Hope this helps.

That would be correct, we did not have the DDP.
